South Australians will have an extra reason to say ‘cheers’ at Adelaide Fringe in 2012. Coopers Brewery is partnering with Adelaide Fringe and will be a major partner of the festival for the next three years.
Coopers Chairman and Marketing Director, Mr Glenn Cooper, said he was thrilled that
Coopers was once again sponsoring Australia’s favourite arts festival.
“I held the position of Chairman of the Fringe from 1994 to 1999,” Mr Cooper said.
“They were fabulous years where Adelaide Fringe experienced amazing growth. One of my greatest memories was seeing 25,000 spectators at the Fringe opening night parade on Rundle Street in 1999.
“The Fringe is now internationally renowned as one of the leading arts festivals in the world and our new partnership will coincide with
Coopers celebrating its 150th year.
“It is a great opportunity to celebrate two great South Australian brands.”
Adelaide Fringe Director and Chief Executive, Mr Greg Clarke, said partnering with
Coopers had been a ‘no-brainer’.
“Adelaide Fringe and
Coopers Brewery are arguably the two best-known national icons to come from South Australia, and it’s great to have them together,” Mr Clarke said.
“By forming a partnership with
Coopers, the ingredients are all there to grow Adelaide Fringe even further.
“I’m also deeply committed to making the Fringe more attractive to our interstate audiences, and I am confident that our partnership with
Coopers will assist this to happen.
“I look forward to our partnership and many
Coopers beers during Fringe time over the next three years.”
